Financial Instrument Discovery Platform -- An App-Based, Social Network For Exotic OTC Participants
DerivaTrust is a "peer-to-peer" user generated application hosting community where interested parties (new counterparties, prospective clients) dealing in exotic financial instruments can anonymously and securely search for, discover, and analyze an unlimited number of financial contracts that have each been "virtualized" within a discrete, free-standing app (e.g., an Android app), and if relevant, securely and anonymously communicate their interest in securing title to the underlying asset (or an instrument with similar properties) from the owner thereof.

The DerivaTrust platform leverages the market's familiarity with user-generated, free-standing apps and online social networking, and tailors the result to meet the growing the need for discoverability within the exotic instrument markets.

Free To All
The system operates on an "open" priciple and there are no fees for interested parties to register for and use the DerivaTrust service (e.g., all are free to search, download, or analyze a set number of hosted apps per day). Similarly, during the first year there are no fees for an instrument owner to prepare, upload, and share their apps (each a "virtualized financial instrument app" or "virtualized contract app") with interested parties (new counterparties, prospective clients) that are registered with DerivaTrust. Further, any party wishing to communicate anonymously to the creator of a particular app may do so for free using the DerivaTrust secure mail server, although DerivaTrust will assess a small "return communication" fee upon an app creator if they choose to anonymously respond to an incoming query via the DerivaTrust secure mail server.

In sum, during the first year anyone can get started with DerivaTrust for free, learn about the system and how it might help their business, and do so without future commitments.

No Data Collection
DerivaTrust is software and communications service that provides a secure, hosting platform for apps (virtualized contracts apps) created by financial market participants whereby those same app creators may communicate directly (anonymously or not) with those who are reviewing the apps. DerivaTrust is not, nor seeks to be, a financial market participant or research firm and DerivaTrust will not aggregate, analyze, and re-distribute information gleaned from the creation and hosting of apps within its platform. While we appreciate that the DerivaTrust system will assist all market participants (buy, sell, research, regulatory) in having insights into the markets, our role is limited to providing the technical environment for the promotion of a more efficient and stable market.
